Obama asserts executive privilege in “Fast and Furious” case; Vin Diesel subpoenaed

President Obama asserted executive privilege today in response to the investigation into the Department of Justice's controversial “Fast and Furious” program, after Attorney General Eric Holder made a formal, written request to the President to do just that. Congressman and chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Darrell Issa (R-CA) had requested White House documents related to the program.
“Mr. President, I encourage you to use executive privilege, because let's be honest here, Darrell Issa is a real dick,” Holder said in his formal letter to the White House. “All the Presidents are doing it. Bush, Clinton, Reagan... the fact that you went this long without using executive privilege is impressive in itself, so yeah, screw this guy.”
Darrell Issa was quick to respond, sending his own letter to the President. “I'm not a dick! Eric Holder is the dick here! Mr. President, I'm not asking your wife out on a date or trying to get you to kiss Mitt Romney on the face. I'm just asking for some documents. You should be used to people asking you for your papers! HAH! But no, seriously, Eric Holder? Total dick!”
In a related story, Hollywood star Vin Diesel is expected to testify about Operation Fast and Furious sometime this week. We reached Mr. Diesel on the set of “Fast and Furious 6: The Legend of Curly's Gold,” to ask him why he had reached a subpoena. “Dude, I have no clue! I had nothing to do with all that `Fast and Furious' shit on the news! All I want to do is keep making crappy `Fast and Furious' movies for the rest of my life. I don't have time for this crap!
