Pardon the Pundit (PTP) is a political comedy theater company and political satire publication based in Washington DC. PTP is not allied with any political organization and simply aims to make fun of the players who make a mockery of our entire political process including the Executive, Judicial, Legislative, Voter and the Press. Our goal is to make comedic fun of the hypocrisy, absurdity, corruption and self-righteousness that naturally results from our nation’s political discourse.

Launched in June of 2011, PTP offers political humor in many forms:

Live Political Satire:

The Pardon the Pundit Touring Company is an in-house theater company located at the Arlington Drafthouse, deep inside the swampy area that makes up our nation's capital. Inside the beltway, the PTP Touring Company is able to entertain a live audience with an annual political satire competition, 3 person Comedy Caucus shows and larger 6 person showcases. The PTP Touring Company also performs in other DC area theaters with plans for a national tour in 2012.

The Pardon The Pundit Touring Company's larger Showcase consists of 6 political comics performing live political stand-up, sketch and improv. The showcase lasts about 75 minutes.

If smaller shows are your thing... you can catch Pardon the Pundit political comedians performing mini-shows throughout the DC area under the banner Comedy Caucus. The Comedy Caucus is made up of 3 political comedians performing mostly stand-up in smaller venues. Shows are typically 50 minutes in length.
