Diary excerpts from Obama's ex foreshadow Presidency
5/3/2012 10:40 AM Matt Rock -
Vanity Fair has obtained the diary of one Genevieve Cook, who met Barack Obama at a Christmas party in 1983 and kicked off a serious relationship with him. While Vanity Fair won't be releasing the diary until their June issue, PTP has obtained exclusive access to excerpts that she wrote about their very first date. We're publishing them here... enjoy!
“Barack took me out to dinner tonight in Manhattan. He wanted to take me to this Thai place, but when I asked him for Italian, he rolled over faster than you could say `that's a spicy meatball!' I like a guy that concedes and lets you have your way at the drop of a hat, rather than putting up any semblance of a fight. It really gets me going!”
After describing the meal, Cook talked about the check...
“After desert, Barack looked at the bill, paused for a minute, and then went over to the table of some wealthy-looking couple nearby, asking them to pay it instead. They refused, saying something racist under their breath, but at least he tried. I guess that's the way people pay for food back in his home country of Kenya. He told me that he born in Kenya, and laughed about how he'd never get to be President. It's not like PTP would make that up in the hopes of baiting birther loons, right?”
A bit later, Obama took Cook on a walk through Central Park...
“Barack seems like a really great guy. He's handsome, generous, polite, and intelligent... he's a real change from every other guy I've ever been with, and there's hope for a longer relationship. Still, I'm not quite as excited about going on a second date with him as I was when he asked me out the first time around. I'm hoping he'll be more assertive and a little less pandering on a second date... I guess we'll have to wait and see if I let him take me out again, or if I'll give this other wealthy guy a try.” - Return to Previous Page
