Nugent amputates toe to prove a point

Ted Nugent went berserk yesterday on the set of CBS This Morning, cutting off his pinkie toe to prove his moderate standing in the Republican Party. Nugent’s bizarre behavior appeared to be in response to a question from Jeff Gorr.
Referring to statements Nugent has made recently that many have construed as threats against President Obama, Gorr asked Nugent, “How does it feel to be the right wing nut job right wing nut jobs refer to as a `right wing nut job?'” Nugent paused for a moment, closed his eyes, hummed the second verse of the Battle Hymn of the Republic, took off his left boot, reached inside his camouflage cowboy hat, pulled out a hunting knife, sliced off his pinkie toe, shoved the toe into his ear and smiled at Gorr. “Does that answer your question, Jeff? I’m obviously not a nut job. What kind of nut job would cut off his toe to prove a point, right? Am I right? Tell me I’m right because I just cut off my damn toe so I must be right, right? I don’t see you cutting off anything of yours so I guess I win this fucking round, huh? Huh?! You’re goddamn right I do! Hey, can somebody get a brother a band-aid or maybe a little itty bitty tourniquet? I’m bleeding all over the place here for chrissakes! Crap! I just cut off my fucking toe!!! Ow!”
As paramedics tried to slow Nugent’s bleeding, Jeff Gorr asked Nugent if his actions hadn’t actually made him appear more crazy - not less so. Nugent responded by tearing off his shirt, snorting a toaster oven, lighting his hair on fire and swallowing a 1972 Ford Pinto. - Return to Previous Page
