Hackers vandalize Tea Party website, post facts with supporting links

Tea Party web administrators are on high alert this weekend after an unidentified group of hackers assaulted and vandalized a website belonging to the “Independence Hall Tea Party.” The hackers allegedly posted crude, lewd, and offensive imagery and text, but according to Tea Party officials, the worst of their assault caused nearly 60% of their members to quit the group altogether.
“They put all these facts on our website, and backed them up with links to charts and non-partisan fact-checking organizations,” said one member of the Tea Party faction. “I can't say for certain if we'll ever recover from this. Dozens of our members, more than half of us, we saw those facts and figures, and now we can't un-see them. It really made me, and many others, realize just how shallow and misinformed our platform has been.”
“I feel bad about everything we've said and done in the past few years now. There are so many normal, intelligent conservatives out there. We tossed them under the bus. If only I wasn't 73 years old, and if only I knew how to use `Googley-goo' or whatever that search engine is called. Our radicalism has given real Conservatives a bad name. Damn you hackers! Damn you for ruining my life!”
Administrators of the hacked site say they're doing everything in their power to reverse what the hackers did. “We're talking about putting up live feeds of Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, and other radio and TV hosts that lather up listeners with lies and half-truths. Hopefully we can earn back some of the folks we lost. We just have to scare them back into believing that Obama is the radical Muslim socialist that he isn't. We have a long road ahead of us, but we'll get there, someday.” - Return to Previous Page
