Obama has hot mic gaffe while playing online video game
5/15/2012 8:05 PM Matt Rock
Just hours after his hot mic goof-up at Barnard College in Manhattan yesterday, President Obama managed to land himself in more trouble last night after failing to mute the Bluetooth headset on his Sony PlayStation 3, while blowing off some steam by playing Mass Effect 3 in the residence of the White House.
The President abruptly interrupted his traditional online trash-talking when an unidentified White House staffer came in to talk about JPMorgan Chase's recent $3 billion gaffe. “Hang on, I have to mute my game,” the President said, with a clicking sound indicating that he attempted to mute the headset, but failed to actually do it.
“These morons are going to call me any minute now, asking for a bailout. You know it,” the President stated, not realizing a whole online room full of Mass Effect players could hear every word he was saying. “I'm totally fed up with these people. Once this election is over, I'm going to stick a regulatory boot so far up their asses... you don't even know!”
The staffer said something largely inaudible, with only the words “Romney” and “Donor” being clear enough to understand. “Yeah, `wrong side of history,' that was a great line,” the President replied, referring to Bill White, an openly-gay NY-based consultant who recently withdrew his support from Romney, switching sides completely to join the Obama camp. “If I lose the election to a bigoted stick figure like Mitt Romney, we're all in serious trouble.”
The staffer said something else, which was also inaudible, before the President finished their conversation. “I'm gonna finish shooting some of my constituents in this game here, then I'll grab a smoke out in the Rose garden, then I'm going to eat that steak Michelle wouldn't let me eat before I head off to bed. I swear, no cigarettes, no junk food, it's like living with Hit... uh... dude, my mic is on! Shit!” - Return to Previous Page
