President Obama accidentally makes Polish joke while apologizing for gaffe

President Obama has issued his second apology to the people of Poland in 24 hours after making yet another unfortunate comment about the European country, while apologizing for referring to a German concentration camp in Nazi-occupied Poland as a “Polish death camp.”
“I deeply regret having misidentified the death camp as Polish, when so many Poles suffered during the second World War at the hands of the oppressors that built said camp,” said the President during his first apology today. “I feel genuinely terrible about the mistake. It was a very ignorant comment. It reminds me of a joke I heard when I was younger. How do you get a one-armed Pole to fall out of a tree? You wave at him. And I feel as though I've struck every branch on my way to the ground, and rightly so.”
According to senior White House sources, it took the President nearly two full hours to comprehend the offensiveness of his apology. Approximately one hour before this article was published, President Obama issued a second apology, apologizing for the first apology.
“I wish to convey my utmost sincerity in apologizing, again, to the people of Poland,” said President Obama. “I meant my Polish joke to be self-deprecating, but I woefully misinterpreted the delivery of that joke. I hope that the people of Poland, and the American people of Polish descent, will forgive my terrible mistake. I feel like the Polish family that froze to death outside of a theater, waiting in line to see the movie `Closed for the Winter.' I wish that I could... SHIT!
