Republicans outraged that Obama is considering scrubbing the health care mandate

Several major conservative figures are railing today against President Obama, after it was learned recently that the White House is considering dropping the mandated health care element of the Affordable Care Act. The controversial mandate might be lost if the Supreme Court rules it unconstitutional, but administration officials believe that health care reform can survive without the mandate.
“Obama is talking about getting rid of the health care mandate, the only capitalist part of the whole damn thing,” said famed conservative media figure Bill Rushbeck. “I've supported the mandate since the beginning! Sure, Obama and the left-wing media will doctor video and audio that I was against the mandate before I was for it, but it wasn't true! This guy is such a socialist! What's next, free health care for the poor? What a crock! Read the constitution, `Nobama!' It says we should mandate health care right in there! HOW DARE he lean on the Supreme Court to have the mandate removed? This is his fault!”
GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney was equally outraged by the news. “How dare Obama consider getting rid of the mandate? I don't think he understands the struggles that a health insurance industry employee has to go through, earning less than a million dollars a year. You know, I invented Obamacare, back when it was Romneycare in Massachusetts. I put the mandate in because I love our free markets. Obama doesn't want the mandate because he's a shill for big government spending. We need send him to the curb with the rest of the people I don't acknowledge as people in November!” - Return to Previous Page
