Obama slips, admits foreign birth during speech on new immigration policy

President Barack Obama made what many are calling the biggest gaffe of his political career earlier this evening, after admitting that he was born in Kenya during a speech at a Washington DC fundraiser event. The President was speaking on the subject of the White House's new push for immigrant amnesty, whereby executive order, the Obama Administration will grant work permits and a path to citizenship for an estimated 800,000 illegal immigrants.
“This is one of the most important things I've done in all my time at the White House,” President Obama said, just moments before a gaffe that might end his 2012 election prospects completely. “We're giving these young people a true path to citizenship, and acknowledging that we, the American people, value their willing, chosen participation in our society. That we appreciate their yearning for freedom and the American way of life. That just because you weren't born here, that doesn't make you any less American.”
The audience roared with applause, which most likely disarmed the President enough for him to make his upcoming major gaffe. “When I was born in Mombasa back in 1961, my parents envisioned that I could become the President of the United States of America. That's why they planted my birth announcement in those Hawaiian newspapers, and broke into the hospital to plant my falsified birth certificate, and then moved me to Hawaii as quickly as they could. They wanted me to be a citizen so I could later take the office that I hold today. I only wish an executive order like this existed when I was younger. It would have made this a whole lot easier!”
The audience muffled, transforming into a sea of whispers as President Obama realized his gaffe. “Uh... you know, that's what I WOULD say, if I were born in Kenya. But I was born in Hawaii! I've shown too birth certificates to verify that! Now, uh, if you'll excuse me, I need to, you know, and stuff.” - Return to Previous Page
