Romney endorses Senate candidate after he bashes media for poor people coverage

Republican businessman Eric Hovde made a powerful ally this morning, when GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney offered the Senate candidate his formal endorsement. Hovde made headlines over the weekend when he told an audience that the media needs to stop writing about poor people struggling in the recession, and instead focus on the mainstays of the Conservative platform, like lowering taxes for wealthy people and corporations while cutting social programs that actually help normal people.
“Eric Hovde is my kind of guy,” said Mitt Romney at a joint press conference about thirty minutes before this article was published. “He understands, like me, that America's problems can only be solved by hurling gobs and gobs of sweet, delicious money at people that are already wealthy, you know, like me and Eric Hovde. Neither of us knows what macaroni and cheese tastes like, and that's a quality we should all hope to find in our next President.”
Hovde concurred with Romney. “You know, the media makes us wealthy people out to be villains. So Mitt Romney was a vulture capitalist, making himself wealthy by liquidating whole companies and profiting from ruined lives. So what! So my background is in finance and banking, two industries that regular Americans are sick of supporting with corporate welfare. Who cares! What we do is important. We're job creators! Well, in fairness, Mitt has fired more people than I've ever hired, so technically... well... WHO WANTS PANCAKES? Yeah!” - Return to Previous Page
