Obama sets out to prove once and for all that he isn't racist

President Obama has been called many things throughout his presidency; socialist, illegal immigrant, and warmonger being common threads by his opposition. But Obama chose this morning to tackle what he believes to be one of the more ludicrous assertions by the far-right.. that he's also a racist.
“My mom was white, my dad was black... there isn't a whole lot of gray area, other than my hair, which gets five shades lighter every time someone tries to claim I'm racist against white people,” President Obama declared, while addressing the nation this morning from the White House Rose Garden. “My mom was white, my grandparents who played a major role in raising me were white, and I loved them just as much as my black family members, so seriously, have a Coke and a smile and shut the fu... uh... please sit down and be quiet!”
However, Stephen Marks, founder of the super PAC “FightBigotry,” claims that he heard plenty of racism in the president's remarks. “Notice how he didn't say anything in that speech about Hispanics, or Asians, or Arabs, or martians, or goats, or pencils? It's obvious this guy is a racist. He's so racist he even hates himself!”
FightBigotry recently put out a political ad that called Obama a racist. They've also edited the text of Obama's famous race speech, framing it so that Obama appears to consider his grandmother as “a typical white person.” FightBigotry raises money by selling illustrated books titled “How to FightBigotry,” which show readers how to turn white bed sheets into formal and casual attire, which they say “hides a person's race so that everyone can be equal.” - Return to Previous Page
