Republicans criticizing Obama for pre-presidency issues after Ryan attack works

The media has been having some fun at Paul Ryan's expense, after the Congressmen lashed out against President Obama for not saving a General Motors plant that shut down during Bush's presidency. But new polling shows that Ryan's misinformed diss is playing well at the far-right end of the Republican base... which has prompted other Republican figures to go after Obama for other events that happened before he took office.
“The president loves to throw around the blame. But what about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? Why won't he take responsibility for starting those?” asked Mitt Romney earlier today, taking a cue from his running mate. “Obama sold us the war in Iraq, claiming there were weapons of mass destruction. Where are those WMD's, Mr. President? Thank God President Bush got us out of that terrible war!”
Sarah Palin was next to use the new tactic. “That Obama, he has accounts on Facebook and Twitter, don't-cha-know, and I don't think it's unfair to blame him for that tech bubble bursting in the 1990's. And don't get me started on that whole Iran-Contra mess! You betcha!”
Quite possibly the most scathing attack, however, came from Fox News' Sean Hannity. “Obama has proven time and time again that he isn't worthy of holding any political office, let alone the Oval office. Look back on this failed presidency. The Vietnam war, the Bay of Pigs invasion, Operation Market Garden, a failure to quickly respond to Pearl Harbor, the Great Depression, the secession of the south, England invading us a second time during the war of 1812 and sacking our nation's capital, the Jamestown tragedy... it's obvious Obama is unfit to lead!” - Return to Previous Page
