Washington "Gang of Six" turns hardcore

In Washington D.C., the congressional "Gang of Six" has been working tirelessly on a solution to the U.S. debt ceiling crisis.
In a startling move, however, the bipartisan group has opted to literally adopt its moniker and take on a street "gang" approach.
Earlier today, the group of white men, all more than age 50, addressed the media clad in baggy pants, large gold chains and backward baseball hats. Reportedly, each of them also showed up driving purple Cadillac Escalades - complete with tinted windows and spinning gold rims.
Gang member Sen. Mike Crapo (R-Idaho), a 60-year-old father of five, first addressed the assembled reporters in regards to the image adjustment.
"You know we been gettin’ dissed hard by the Republicans lately" said Crapo, who is a Harvard Law graduate. "Yeah, the Republicans have been my boys for a long time, I admit it. But right about now, the Gang of Six is ready to bust a few caps. Know what I'm sayin'?"
Crapo's statement roused the other five, who, in a show of unity, got up and began bumping fists and flashing gang signs at the TV cameras in attendance.
After things calmed again, gang member Kent Conrad (D-N.D.) also spoke to the stunned media. The 63-year-old said the Gang of Six would administer "beat downs" if the group's debt ceiling plan was not accepted soon.
"Yo, some of these fools up in D.C. think they can mess with what we trying to do right here with this debt," said Conrad. "Me and my homies ain't gonna stand for it though. We gonna be rollin' through Capital Hill and jackin' some fools real quick." - Return to Previous Page
