Julian Assange takes a Wikileak on Prince Charles

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange today made good on his threat to release 300,000 pages of secret British documents that prove Prince Charles is bonkers.
In a statement posted on the Wikileaks website, Assange explained the reasoning behind the release. “A couple of weeks ago, when Rupert Murdoch threatened to hack my cell phone to find out what I know about what he knows about what I know about the News Corp phone hacking scandal, I made it clear that this kind of behavior in a civilized society is unacceptable and that, if Murdoch followed through on his threat, I would have no choice but to follow through on my threat to release these documents in a shameless invasion of the Royals’ privacy. I don’t know whether or not Murdoch did hack my phone, but I can’t afford to take the chance.”
A Pardon the Pundit reporter taking advantage of this story to bill PTP for her London pub tour caught up with Assange yesterday as he was coming out of the loo at The Rabid Doghead, a quaint drinking establishment situated one block, or “pissing distance” from the Thames river.
Asked if he remains confident that Wikileaks’ strategy of leaking documents containing sensitive government information is in the people’s best interest, Assange lit a cigarette and pondered the question. “Information is power. Wikileaks simply takes that power from governments and returns it to where it belongs - the people. Besides, anytime I have one of these massive releases, I feel so alive! My breathing goes ragged, my heart pounds like a jackhammer, my eyes bug out and my buttocks clinch. How can something that feels so illegal be bad? So… do you have plans for later?
