Ralph Nader Gearing Up To Make A Serious Run In 2010
6/13/2011 10:24 AM Paul -
Ralph Nader’s political career has never actually been taken seriously, his poll numbers are comically low, and he typically looks like he could use a nap. In short, it’s time for him to strike while the iron is hot.
Mr. Nader recently hinted strongly about running as an Independent in the next election in front of passerby at a dilapidated mall on the outskirts of Roanoke, Virginia.
While it might be a nice change of pace to have a Commander-In-Chief that gets his suits at Target, many believe that his ship has already sailed. “I voted for Nader when I was a sophomore in college, but only because I was trying to bang this really hot Bohemian chick in my nutrition class,” said 31-year-old accountant Will Hawkins. “Neither Ralph nor I were able to get anywhere near the oval office.”
Logical, honest, and sympathetic toward the poor and underrepresented, Nader is a true outsider in the world of American politics. In 2000, Nader was able to drum up just enough support to allow George W. Bush to edge out Al Gore and become the 43rd President of the United States.
Though his intentions were pure, the misguided and altruistic Nader was actually instrumental in ushering the under-prepared son of George H. W. Bush into the White House. In the years that followed, the United States lost much of its wealth, economic momentum, and global respect.
Barack Obama took the pilot’s seat in 2008 moments before the nation experienced engine malfunction and dove violently toward a large range of jagged rocks. Here’s hoping that Nader will be the next pilot of the glorious and proud jet known as the United States of America. - Return to Previous Page
