Michele Bachmann “horribly offended” by Obama's “Jobs” Bill

10/7/2011 7:59 PM Matt Rock - Congresswoman and GOP Presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann claimed this afternoon that she is both “horribly offended” and “terribly disappointed” by President Obama's jobs bill. Bachmann, who is scheduled to speak tonight at a Values Voters Summit in the nation's capital, seemed to be confused over the true intentions of the bill, mistaking its effort to improve unemployment rates in the nation with something having to do with the recently-deceased computer legend Steve Jobs.

“Steve Jobs was a great American innovator. He inspired millions with his ingenuity and creativity. How President Obama could dare propose a bill named after this American hero is beyond me,” Bachmann announced, wiping a tear from her eye as she continued. “We need to get this man out of the White House. At this point, he's just adding insult to injury!”

When a reporter from a Washington DC CBS affiliate asked Bachmann if she realized what the bill actually pertained to, the congresswoman seemed a bit confused. “Oh, who knows? It's Obama we're talking about here, though, so I can probably guess. He probably wants to give money to Kenyan terrorists and force women into socialist abortions using HPV vaccinations, while censoring Fox News and making it illegal for anyone to run against him. How close am I?”

Bachmann's Presidential campaign staff, realizing their candidate had made yet another major public speaking gaffe, attempted to back-peddle from her remarks by issuing a statement moments later. “Congresswoman Bachmann is fully aware that the bill proposed by President Obama is, in fact, related to employment. The point she was trying to make is that the bill should be renamed to something that doesn't invoke the name of Steve Jobs, the Apple co-founder.”

Bachmann's campaign has been in a series of ruts since Texas Governor Rick Perry entered the GOP fray. The most recent Rasmussen/ Fox News/ World Net Daily/ Drudge Report/ Cartoon Network poll has Bachmann trailing behind all of the other candidates quite significantly, including Jon Huntsman, Thaddeus McCotter, and the cable repair guy.
