Glenn Beck's online TV channel unveils new drama show

This afternoon, GBTV (Glenn Beck Television) announced the premier of their first scripted drama program, an hour-long TV show called “The Patriots.” The show's pilot, scripted in part by Beck himself, takes place in the fictional town of “Real America, USA,” and follows the story of an American family, Joe and Marsha Patriot, and their two children, Billy and Susie Patriot, as they go about their day-to-day lives in “Obama's America.”
The pilot episode will introduce “The Caliphate Family,” new neighbors who move into the Patriots' neighborhood. The Caliphates are liberal, socialist Muslims, and Joe Patriot immediately suspects Ahmed Caliphate, the head of their household, of being a terrorist in a sleeper cell, sent by Al Qaeda and Nancy Pelosi to rig elections for President Obama, unionize the factory where Joe works, force the teaching of evolution and safe sex in the town's public school, destroy Christmas, force teenagers into getting abortions, and blow up a Church where local Tea Party members rally together on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
“I think this is going to be the greatest television show ever made,” said Glenn Beck, who wailed and cried, bashing his hands into a podium, and stuttering occasionally as his sobs rendered some words completely inaudible. “Sopranos, West Wing, Gunsmoke... those were all inventions of the mainstream liberal media pushing their socialist collectively-bargained global warming agenda on real Americans. Joe Patriot and his family are here to change all that. Well, not his wife, Marsha, because what good can a woman do?”
While many of Beck's fans are praising what Beck himself calls “revolutionary... no... revolution-inciting... television,” some are criticizing the show's format, structure, and plot, particularly the show's casting. “Beck has white people wearing makeup to make them look brown, to play the roles of the Caliphate family,” points out civil rights leader Jesse Jackson. “Put aside how offensive the script actually is. Just that point alone should get this show banned. He doesn't want Muslims on his set, so he has white people in what is essentially blackface portraying Muslims. That's pretty terrible.”
The show will debut on GBTV in late December. Fox News is said to be working out a deal with GBTV which would allow them to also carry the program, possibly replacing their faux-comedy show “Red Eye,” which is widely regarded as the least-funny comedy show in television history. - Return to Previous Page
