Bachmann cries, "What about the cracks in the crazy ceiling?"

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann's (R-MN) presidential campaign got a little surreal this week when the candidate broke from her prepared remarks on the economic impact of searching for President Obama's birth certificate and praying away people's homosexuality yesterday, when she broke down and started rambling about the "cracks in the crazy ceiling."
"Four years ago, Hillary Clinton made history by running for president. Everyone said, 'isn't it great that a woman is running for president?' -- have you not noticed that I am a woman? Not only am I am woman but have you noticed I am also insane? Do you know how inspiring that must be for the millions of other insane people throughout this country who thought 'no one like me will ever run for president, even the troll people under my bed won't vote for me!' Well, since I began this race, I have claimed God caused the recent earthquakes, hurricanes and tornadoes that hit the US. I praised serial killer John Wayne Gacy. I thanked our founding fathers for getting rid of slavery -- and in the past I had said slavery was good for black people. Recently I said I never misspoke, even I know that all is kooky!” howled Bachmann. “Even now, my campaign staff isn’t reacting to me because they are so used to this kind of thing! Hillary may have put 1,000 cracks in the glass ceiling, but with your help, I can put just as many in the...”
Bachmann was pulled offstage by a harried and clearly upset press handler. The campaign immediately went into damage control mode, but most was already done weeks, if not months, ago by other comments, such as her claim that the HPV vaccine causes mental retardation.
“Look, we’re not here looking to see a candidate, we are here for the entertainment," one Iowa Caucus voter admitted. "If Jerry Springer was this good, we’d be at home. And she usually has decent food. Who doesn’t enjoy dinner and a show?” - Return to Previous Page
