Second crappy Ayn Rand movie slated for October 2012 release
2/6/2012 3:05 PM Matt Rock -
The producers of the terrible Ayn Rand movie released on tax day (April 15th) last year are hoping to follow up their poor box office performance with another slow, dry, feckless propaganda piece in October of 2012, just ahead of this year's elections.
However, no one can tell which side of the political fence the movie's makers are actually on, because they've all been pretty vague in interviews, and audiences struggled to tell if it was a serious take on why Rand is propped up as a hero by Conservatives, or a satire film intended to poke fun at them for idolizing a pro-choice atheist.
“The time for change was in 2008, and again right now,” said the first bad film's director, Paul Johansson, who also “acted” in the movie as capitalism fundamentalist John Galt. “We need someone in the White House who won't back down from terrorists and will do what he thinks is right for America. And that person [Johansson pauses to sneeze, cough, and eat a bagel] President Obama!”
Regardless of the films intentions, Democrats are pretty happy with the release date. “If this second film is twice as good as the first one was, it'll still be terrible enough to make some more people vote for Democrats,” said Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA). “I'm retiring, so this won't help me at all, but the President will pick up some more electoral votes, and Democrats will play in districts they never had a hope in, all thanks to this terrible movie. So whether they're Liberal or Conservative, they'll be appreciated by Democrats this November!” - Return to Previous Page
