Keith Olbermann fired, negotiating new deal for a public access show

3/31/2012 3:05 PM Matt Rock - Keith Olbermann, the famous liberal TV pundit who once hosted a show on MSNBC, but was fired, has been fired yet again by CurrentTV. CurrentTV's founders, former Vice President Al Gore and businessman Joel Hyatt, both described a rapidly-devolving relationship with Olbermann and his cat, Mr. Snuffles, which led to the firing.

“Keith demanded that Mr. Snuffles be given his own dressing room,” explained Al Gore. “A dressing room? For a cat?! That's absurd! Doesn't he realize how much energy that would waste? And that was just the icing on a pretty big cake. Olbermann wouldn't drive a Prius, he refused to build a wind turbine in his apartment, and not once, not twice, but THRICE, he put PAPER IN THE PLASTICS RECYCLING! What the crap, Olbermann! So we had no choice but to fire him. Hopefully, he'll learn from this, and in the future... wait... I must go... a whale is in trouble!”

Olbermann is now negotiating a deal where he will host his own public access television show in the New York City area, though the station has already cited differences in opinion, noting that Olbermann doesn't apparently understand how public access television actually works.

“Mr. Olbermann's agent made a presentation to us, but I think we'll have to decline,” said Lou Brown, Program Director at the public access channel. “He's asking for $30 million per year when most people pay a small fee to get on our channel, he wants to be the Director of the news division that we don't actually have, and he insists that we hire a pilates instructor for someone named `Mr. Snuffles,' who I think might be a cat. So yeah... I don't think this deal is going to happen.”
