Tupac “hologram” endorses President Obama
Facebook Facebook Facebook Facebook Facebook Facebook
4/17/2012 8:05 PM Matt Rock - Sunday night, rap fans at the Coachella festival in California were treated to – and creeped out by – a live performance by Tupac Shakur, a rapper that was gunned down in Las Vegas in 1996, only to then somehow release new albums persistently ever since. Shakur appeared as a holographic image, performing on stage beside Snoop Dogg, and managed to call out Coachella by name. And as if the whole performance weren't bizarre enough, Tupac's hologram made a stunning announcement today, at a press conference in California.

“I'm endorsing Barack Obama in his bid to retain the White House,” said the Hologram, appearing quite dressed up and speaking more formally and proper than the rapper ever had publicly. “I believe his social policies are taking the country in the right direction progressively, and that his economic policies staved off a second great depression. I believe that, given a second term, he might achieve even greater things with his Presidency.”

A stunned reporter asked Tupac's hologram what he thought about President Obama's presumed rival, Mitt Romney. “I feel that Romney is out of touch, and doesn't grasp the struggles and hardships that real, everyday Americans endure day in, day out. I mean, how does a person even get that out of touch, anyway? By faking their death, setting up a palatial home in Brazil surrounded by bodyguards and gorgeous women, and recording new albums and holographic video projects with all your spare time?”

An unimpressed reporter from Fox News then asked what Tupac's hologram thought about President Obama's legacy in the White House. “I guess we'll have to wait until the end of his second term to really be able to list every one of his accomplishments, in full. I'm working on a new song where I list all of those accomplishments, actually, tentatively titled `I would have voted for you but I'm hiding in Brazil,' which will be released on a double album that will drop on the twenty-year anniversary of my shooting, in 2016.”
